ABSTRAKSI: Sistem pembelajaran konvensional dan e-learning memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing. Untuk mengkombinasikan kelebihan dari kedua sistem tersebut, dibentuklah konsep blended learning. Akan tetapi, riset tentang e-learning dan blended learning lebih menekankan pada e-content dan penerapan teknologi, bukan ke arah learning processnya. Pembangunan system blended learning pun kebanyakan didasarkan pada intuisi tanpa panduan dari framework tertentu.
BLESS (Blended Learning Systems Structure) hadir sebagai framework pembangunan sistem blended learning yang sesuai dengan learning process dan menggunakan top-down approach. Framework BLESS terdiri dari lima layer perancangan, mulai dari blended learning course, course scenarios, blended learning patterns, web template, dan learning platform. BLESS bersifat reusable, karena pattern-pattern yang ada dapat diterapkan di course lain, dan pattern-pattern yang ada dapat dirangkai menjadi sebuah skenario baru. Web template yang dibuat sesuai dengan pattern juga dapat diterapkan pada learning platform yang berbeda.
Berdasarkan hasil analisa, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat usability sistem meningkat ketika sistem blended learning BLESS diterapkan, dibandingkan dengan sistem pembelajaran yang sudah ada.

To combine strength from both learning system, blended learning concept was conceived. Nevertheless, researches about e-learning and blended learning focuses on e-content and applied technology, not on learning process. Blended learning system development mostly done based on intuition, not by guide from particular framework.
BLESS (Blended Learning Systems Structure) came as a framework for developing blended learning system in accordance of learning processes and using top-down approach. BLESS consists of five layers: blended learning course, course scenarios, blended learning patterns, web template, and learning platform. BLESS is reusable, because the patterns can be implemented into new scenarios, and can be implemented into other course. Web templates made according to patterns can be implemented in different learning platform.
According to analysis, it can be concluded that system’s usability is increased when BLESS blended learning is implemented, compared to existing learning system.
