Education is very important for the progress of a country due to quality education will produce quality human resource in the country anyway. Role of the teacher must be very decisive for the success of the teacher to carry out the primary task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing and evaluating students.
This study aims to determine how the motivation and performance of the teachers in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Kifayatul Achyar. As well as see the influence of motivation (as independent variables) on the teachers performance (the dependent variable) in Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Kifayatul Achyar Bandung.
The research method used in this study is a descriptive study to see or know the state of each variable. This research conducted by distributing questionnaires to 45 teachers in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Kifayatul Achyar. To measure motivation and performance and see whether motivation affects the performance of the teachers in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Kifayatul Achyar or not. Data analysis techniques that used in this study is path analysis.
Results of data analysis in this study shows that teachers' perceptions of the motivation included in both categories by 79.44% and the teacher's perception of the performance was included in the excellent category of 84.47%, but the effect of motivation on performance is very low at 15, 2%.
