The individual's ability to manage his personal finances has become an important problem at this time. Individuals must have the knowledge and skills to effectively manage personal financial resources for their welfare. The ability of an individual to make decisions in terms of his personal financial arrangements is called financial literacy. Individuals must think about future financial problems, such as health care, retirement planning, education for their children, buying a home for the family, even for entrepreneurial capital. Knowledge of finance is very important for an individual, so they are not wrong in making their financial decisions. Based on the background, the questions in this research are: 1) What is the financial literacy level for Telkom University students in 2015? 2) What is the intention of entrepreneurship at Telkom University students in 2015? 3) Is there a relationship between financial literacy and the intention of entrepreneurship in Telkom University students in 2015?
The type of research used in this study is a survey. Research variables are attributes or properties or values of people, objects or activities that have certain variations determined by researchers to be studied and conclusions are drawn. The measurement scale consists of four types, namely nominal scale, ordinal scale, interval scale, and ratio scale. In this study, the scale design used is a nominal scale and ordinal scale.
The results of the research and discussion that have been stated earlier about the influence of financial literacy on the interest in entrepreneurship in 2015 Telkom University Students, can be drawn several conclusions that are expected to provide answers to the problems formulated in this study are as follows: (1) Financial Literacy at Telkom University Students 2015 as a whole is in a good category; (2) The interest in entrepreneurship in 2015 Telkom University Students are included in the fairly good category; (3) Large influence of financial literacy on interest in entrepreneurship of Telkom University Students 2015 Financial literacy has a significant influence on interest in saving. From the results of the t-test, it can be seen that financial literacy affects the interest in saving can be seen from t-count (24.086)> t-table (1971) and the significance level of 0.005 <0.00. The magnitude of the contribution of independent variables (financial literacy) to the dependent variable (interest in entrepreneurship) can be seen from the results of the determinant coefficient which is equal to 59.3% while the remaining 40.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
