Abstraksi

<p><strong>Abstrak :</strong> Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembuatan kulit sintetis sebagai bahan pengganti kulit hewani merupakan salah satu contoh penerapan teknologi dalam industri <em>fashion</em>. Hal tersebut juga  merupakan upaya menciptakan produk dengan konsep <em>sustainability.</em> Pemanfaatan teknologi lainnya yaitu penggunaan mesin <em>laser cutting</em> dan <em>engraving</em> sebagai penunjang kreatifitas seni desain. Adapun penggunaan kulit sintetis memiliki potensi untuk dijadikan material <em>embellishment </em>dengan bantuan berbagai macam teknik. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjadikan kulit sintetis sebagai material utama <em>embellishment </em>pada produk <em>fashion </em>dengan penggunaan teknik utama <em>laser cutting</em> dan <em>engraving</em>. Inspirasi motif yang akan dikembangkan yaitu dari ragam hias batik Jepara, yang mana kota Jepara terkenal akan hasil seni ukirnya bahkan inspirasi batiknya juga mengadaptasi dari berbagai hasil ukiran khas Jepara. Dengan penerapan ini diharapkan mampu membuat kulit sintetis memiliki <em>value</em> dalam segi estetika, <em>craftsmanship </em>sehingga akan diterapkan pada produk <em>fashion</em> berupa busana <em>ready to wear deluxe</em>. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan data melalui studi literatur, observasi, wawancara dan eksplorasi. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah perancangan produk fashion berupa busana <em>ready to wear deluxe </em>dengan aplikasi kulit sintetis sebagai <em>embellishment </em>melalui tahapan teknik utama <em>laser cutting</em> dan <em>engraving. </em></p>

<p><strong><em>Abstract:</em></strong> <em>The use of technology in the manufacture of synthetic leather as a substitute for animal skin is one example of the application of technology in the fashion industry. This is also an effort to create products with the concept of sustainability in mind. Another use of technology is the use of laser cutting and engraving machines to support artistic design creativity. The use of synthetic leather has the potential to be used as an embellishment material with the help of various techniques. This study aims to make synthetic leather the main material for embellishing fashion products using the main techniques of laser cutting and engraving. The motif inspiration that will be developed is from Jepara batik decoration, in which the city of Jepara is famous for its carving art and even the inspiration for batik also adapts from various typical Jepara carvings. With this application, it is expected to be able to give synthetic leather value in terms of aesthetics and craftsmanship so that it can be applied to fashion products in the form of ready-to-wear deluxe clothing. In this study, the authors used qualitative research methods to collect data through literature studies, observation, interviews, and exploration. The result of this research is the design of fashion products in the form of ready-to-wear deluxe clothing with the application of synthetic leather as embellishment through the main technical stages of laser cutting and engraving.</em></p>
