Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is based on an information technology (IT) infrastructure that facilitates the flow of information within an organization. ERP systems integrate all information and processes of an organization into a unique system with a unified database that concerns how organizations gather, collect, store, access, summarize, interpret, and use business information. Unfortunately, ERP systems are not successfully implemented in many companies.
The ERP implementation methodology involves various processes and procedures, which constitute the conditions or means for formulating the actual implementation of ERP projects. The most famous ERP methodologies are developed by the biggest worldwide ERP systems, such as systems, applications, and products (SAPs), Oracle Financials, and PeopleSoft.
