ABSTRAKSI: Lembaga pendidikan seperti universitas atau kampus, pastinya membutuhkan alat-alat penunjang proses belajar mengajar yang berkualitas. Sebagai contoh dari alat penunjang dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar dikampus adalah LCD proyektor yang berada di ruang kelas. Fungsi dari LCD proyektor tersebut sangatlah penting karena dapat menampilkan bahan ajar dari dosen. Tak terlepas dari fungsi penting LCD proyektor, ternyata ada beberapa masalah yang harus dihadapi saat perkuliahan berlangsung menyangkut LCD proyektor tersebut. Masalah tersebut yaitu terkadang LCD proyektor yang disediakan dikelas belum menyala sehingga proses belajar mengajar menjadi tertunda. Selain itu, saat perkuliahan berakhir terkadang LCD proyektor masih dalam keadaan menyala sehingga terjadi pemborosan listrik.
Oleh karena itu, dalam proyek akhir ini telah dibuat sebuah desain interface sebagai remote jarak jauh pada LCD proyektor di ruang kelas. Interface tersebut didesain dari sebuah sistem minimum dengan mikrokontroler ATmega8535 yang terhubung ke jaringan Lokal Area Network (LAN) melalui sebuah modul ethernet to serial. Dalam proyek ini digunakan modul wiznet sebagai modul ethernet to serial. Sedangkan pada sisi mekanik untuk menekan power yang ada LCD Proyektor digunakan sebuah sentral lock. Seluruh sistem tersebut dikendalikan melalui komputer dari jarak jauh dengan software yang telah dirancang.
Hasil dari pembuatan proyek akhir ini telah berhasil dalam membuat desain untuk interface remote jarak jauh dan juga berhasil menggerakkan mekanik yang berupa sentral lock. Namun dalam proyek akhir ini belum dapat diimplementasikan dan direalisasikan pada LCD Proyektor yang ada pada ruang kelas.Kata Kunci : Kata kunci : LCD Proyektor, interface, remote, mikrokontroler ATmega8535, modul wiznet, sentral lock, software, Lokal Area Network (LAN)ABSTRACT: Educational institutions such as universities or colleges, certainly needs tools supporting quality teaching and learning process. As an example of a tool supporting the campus teaching and learning activities are LCD projectors in the classroom. Function of the LCD projector is very important because it can display instructional materials from lecturers. Inseparable from the important function LCD projector, it turns out there are some problems to be faced when lectures take place regarding the LCD projector. The problem is sometimes provided in class LCD projectors have not been lit so that the learning process to be delayed. In addition, sometimes when lectures end LCD projectors still be turned on resulting in wasted electricity.
Therefore, in this final project design has created an interface as a remote distance on the LCD projector in the classroom. Interface is designed from a minimum system with ATmega8535 microcontroller which is connected to a network of Local Area Network (LAN) via an ethernet to serial module. Module used in this project as a module WIZnet ethernet to serial. While on the mechanical side to suppress the existing power LCD projectors use a central lock. The entire system is controlled remotely via a computer with software that has been designed.
The results of making the final project can provide the smooth running of teaching and learning in the campus. With LCD projectors can be controlled remotely as well simplify the task of campus employees, particularly officers rooster in the works.
