ABSTRAKSI: Dalam perkembangan pemetaan dan pengindraan jarak jauh, muncul teknologi Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). SIG adalah sebuah alat yang memudahkan dalam hal pembacaan, pengolahan, dan penyimpanan informasi berupa data-data spasial yang bersifat geografis. SIG memiliki bermacam manfaat dalam berbagai bidang. Salah satunya, SIG dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bidang kesehatan dan sosial. Salah satunya untuk pengelolaan puskesmas. Selama ini pengelolaan data informasi puskesmas masih dilakukan secara konvensional, selain itu petugas pengelola data informasi, khususnya di pusat pemerintah masih kurang mengetahui persebaran dan kondisi terkini dari puskesmas yang ada di daerah. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu sistem untuk mengatasi permasalahan diatas dengan membuat suatu aplikasi pengelolaan puskesmas berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG).
Dalam pembuatan aplikasi pengelolaan puskesmas berbasis Sistem Informasi Gegrafis (SIG) ini dibedakan menjadi dua bagian, yaitu bagian pembuatan website untuk mengolah data dari puskesmas dan bagian peta untuk memetakan persebaran puskesmas. Untuk bagian pembuatan website diguanakan framework CodeIgniter berbasis PHP. Sedangkan untuk pembuatan peta dilakukan dengan beberapa software open source, diantaranya WinGRASS GIS, OpenLayers, dan OpenStreetMap.
Hasil yang dapat didapat dari penelitian ini adalah terwujudnya suatu aplikasi untuk mengelola data puskesmas di provinsi Jawa Barat dengan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) berbasis open source.Kata Kunci : Sistem Informasi Geografis, puskesmas, open sourceABSTRACT: In the development of mapping and remote sensing, emerging technologies Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
