ABSTRAKSI: Tingkat kriminalitas di Indonesia meningkat. Terutama kriminilitas pencurian yang terjadi di tempat tinggal. Salah satu cara untuk mencegah terjadinya pencurian ialah dengan memasang CCTV (Closed Circuit Television). Dalam proyek akhir ini akan di buat sebuah aplikasi CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) sederhana yang menggunakan webcam untuk mengambil gambar, serta membuat aplikasi di handphone untuk dapat mengakses webcam tersebut.
Pada aplikasi ini memiliki 2 buah menu, yaitu capture dan galeri. Pada menu capture terdapat dua buah sub-menu capture, yaitu mengambil satu gambar maupun mengambil banyak gambar, sedangkan pada menu galeri terdapat gambar hasil capture serta terdapatkan menu untuk melakukan pencarian gambar maupun penghapusan gambar. Aplikasi ini memiliki dua buah user, yaitu server dan client. Pada sisi Laptop server dirancang menggunakan PHP sebagai bahasa pemograman. Sedangkan pada sisi klien dirancang menggunakan bahasa pemograman J2ME yang ditanamkan pada handphone klien. Di sisi klien, aplikasi ini dapat diakses juga melalui PC/Laptop.
Setelah dirancang aplikasi ini kemudian di uji dengan melakukan hosting agar server dapat diakses melalui internet. Dari hasil pengujian akses ke server di dapat kecepatan akses server 75Kbps untuk download dan 15Kbps untuk upload, sedangkan waktu respon dari server tercatat 429ms untuk waktu tercepat dan 2800ms untuk waktu terlama. Sedangkan berdasarkan kuisioner dengan jumlah respoden sebanyak 30 orang, di dapat bahwa 86,67% ingin menggunakan aplikasi ini.Kata Kunci : CCTV, Handphone, PHP, J2ME, LAN, Internet.ABSTRACT: Crime rate in Indonesia increased.
