ABSTRAKSI: Seiring dengan berkembangnya dunia ICT (Information and Communication Technology), kemudahan didalam bertransaksi dan mengakses sebuah informasi haruslah menjadi suatu hal yang sangat penting. Tak heran jika dewasa ini marak ditemukan layanan SMS Gateway sebagai layanan pengaksesan informasi dan pembayaran multipayment. Disisi lain, kita juga tidak bisa terlepas dari dunia cyber (internet) untuk mendapatkan beragam informasi, browsing, melakukan transaksi, sharing file, chating dan lain sebagainya.
Pada proyek akhir ini akan dijelaskan mengenai kegunaan dari SMS gateway sebagai alat pembelian suatu tiket kereta api dengan sistem pembayaran prabayar dan pasca bayar, serta kegunaan dari sistem online yang difungsikan pula sebagai sistem reservasi tiket kereta api berbasis website. Sistem pembayaran yang dipergunakan adalah sistem pemotongan saldo pada database nasabah.
Pada reservasi SMS Gateway, client yang melakukan sms request bisa berupa operator GSM maupun operator CDMA yang sudah ada di Indonesia. Namun disisi server, operator yang dipergunakan untuk membalas SMS client adalah operator TELKOMSEL (yang akan membalas SMS dari pelanggan GSM dan semua pelanggan CDMA). Server disini menggunakan type gammu sebagai media komunikasi antara handphone dengan komputer server.
Layanan reservasi online sebagai alternative dari reservasi via sms menggunakan bahasa pemrograman type PHP, dimana MYSQL dengan versi 5.0.41 dipergunakan sebagai sistem databasenya.
Proyek akhir ini masih berupa prototype, sehingga sistem aplikasinya dilaksanakan pada jaringan intranet (untuk rerservasi via website), bukan jaringan internet. Hasil pembuatan proyek akhir ini adalah sebuah sistem rerservasi tiket kereta api untuk kelas eksekutif dan sistem rerservasi tiket kereta api untuk kelas bisnis.Kata Kunci : Reservation, SMS Gateway, GSMABSTRACT: The developments of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) nowadays demand the easy way to make transactions and to access information. These facts encourage the more services of Gateway SMS as one of way to access information and multi payment. In the other hand, our life style absolutely makes us have huge dependence of internet to gather information, browsing, do business transactions, sharing files, chatting, etc.
This final project will explain about a SMS Gateway that facilitates a transaction of buying train’s tickets, both for pra-payment and pasca-payment. Beside, here will be explained the advantages of train’s ticket reservation online based on website. The payment system is using automatic debit system of customer’s bank account.
This SMS Gateway reservation system can be accessed by all of the operators of GSM and CDMA’s number which already exist in Indonesia. But in the server side, TELKOMSEL will act as the only operator which replies all of the client’s sms. This server uses gammu type as the communication media between hand phone and computer server.
Online reservation service as one of alternative way to reserve tickets will use PHP, with MYSQL verse 5.0.41 is used as its database system.
This final project is still a prototype, that’s why it will be applied uses intranet (for reservation via website). It doesn’t use internet as its application. The final result if this final project is a train’s ticket reservation system for executive and business class.Keyword: Reservation, SMS Gateway, GSM
