ABSTRAKSI: Kemajuan teknologi yang pesat akhirakhir
ini sangat berpengaruh pada
dunia telekomunikasi.Salah satunya adalah dalam perkembangan jaringan
telekomunikasi, dimana pada saat ini sedang marak dibahas jaringan telekomunikasi
berbasis softswitch.
STTTelkom sendiri yang merupakan perguruan tinggi di bidang
telekomunikasi telah menjadikan teknologi softswitch sebagai salah satu materi dalam
mata kuliah mahasiswa jurusan teknik elektro, yaitu dalam mata kuliah teknik
switching.
Untuk mempermudah pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai teknologi softswitch
dan sejalan dengan berkembangnya komputer sebagai media bantu dalam proses
pengajaran, maka pada proyek akhir ini dibuat suatu modul CBT (Computer Base
Training) yaitu perangkat ajar yang memanfaatkan komputer sebagai media untuk
menyampaikan pengajaran kepada siswa melalui interaksi langsung antara siswa
dengan materi yang terprogram di dalam komputer.
CBT ini diimplementasikan dengan perangkat lunak Macromedia Flash 8,
dan CBT ini secara umum memuat materi dasar NGN (Next Generation Network),
materi dasar Softswitch, teori dasar perancangan dan studi kasus perancangan
jaringan Softswitch, alat bantu hitung dan evaluasi (kuis) terhadap materi yang telah
dipelajari.
Berdasarkan jajak pendapat responden, secara umum user telah merasa cukup
puas terhadap tampilan maupun isi materi CBT yang telah dibuat dengan melihat data
statistic 70% dan 56,7% responden setuju.Namun masih ada 6,7% dan 7% responden
raguragu
sehingga perlu perbaikan terus untuk kesempurnaan CBT seperti yang

telecommunication, including the telecommunication network.Softswitch is a new
technology of telecommunication network which has been intensively disscused.
STTTelkom is a telecommunication university which inserting the softswitch
technology as one of its subject in switching technique which learned by the
electrician engineering students.
To help students in understanding about the softswitch technology and along
with the computer development as a learning tool, therefore a CBT modul is made in
this final project.This CBT modul can be used as a learning tool which using
computer as a learning media for students.In this way, students can interact with
subject which has been programmed in the computer.
This CBT is implemented by Macromedia Flash 8 and contains all the base
concept of NGN (Next Generation Network), Softswitch, base theory of design and
case study softswitch network, calculation help tool and evaluation of subject that has
been learned.
Based on respondent survey, it means general user feel satisfied with both the
display and the content of the CBT based on statistic data 70% and 56,% agree, but
