ABSTRAKSI: CDMA2000 1x EV-DO merupakan pengembangan dari CDMA versi sebelumnya, yaitu CDMA 2000 1x, yang dirancang untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan komunikasi data asimetrik dengan data rate relatif lebih tinggi yaitu dengan kapasitas hingga 2,4 Mbps arah downstream dan 153 Kbps arah upstream.
Permasalahannya adalah sampai sejauh mana CDMA2000 1x EV-DO mampu mentransfer data dengan baik. Maka dalam proyek akhir ini akan dilakukan analisis performansi CDMA2000 1x EV-DO yang dilihat dari segi throughput. Pengujian throughput dilakukan pada beberapa skenario, yaitu pengujian throughput pada single user dan multi user, pengujian dari berbagai titik jarak antara AT ke BTS, pengujian pada single sector dan multi sector, pengujian secara fixed dan mobile, serta pengujian dengan penggunaan protokol HARQ.
Hasil pengujian throughput untuk single user diperoleh data rate maksimal ± 900 Kbps, untuk multi user (6 user) tiap user mendapatkan data rate minimal 128 Kbps, untuk pengujian multi sektor, tiap user mendapatkan data rate maksimal ± 800 Kbps. Dari semua skenario pengujian dapat disimpulkan bahwa throuhput maksimal yang dihasilkan adalah 83% dari throughput maksimal spesifikasi CDMA2000 1x EV-DO yaitu 2,4 Mbps.Kata Kunci : ABSTRACT: CDMA2000 1x EV-DO was the improvement from the latest CDMA, it was CDMA 2000 1x, that was built to accommodate the need of asymmetric data communication with higher data rate relative for the capacity until 2,4 Mbps (downstream) and 153 Kbps (upstream).
The problem is how far CDMA2000 1x EV-DO could be good in transfer data. So, in this project will analysis the performance of CDMA2000 1x EV-DO from throughput side. The throughput test do with several scenario, there are throughput test for single user and multi user, the test from several distance between AT and base station, single sector and multi sector test, the test for fixed point and mobile, and function HARQ protocol test.
The result of throughput test for single user shows that maximal data rate ± 900 Kbps, for multi user (6 users), each user get minimal data rate 128 Kbps, for sector test, each user get maximal data rate ± 800 Kbps. From all of the scenario tests could be concluted that the maximal output of throughput is 83% from the maximal specification of CDMA2000 1x EV-DO, that was 2,4 Mbps.Keyword:
