ABSTRAKSI: Saat ini teknologi transfer data wireless seperti IRDA dan Bluetooth berkembang begitu pesat. Teknologi bluetooth mempunyai keunggulan dibanding IRDA dalam segi kecepatan transmisi. Teknologi bluetooth digunakan umumnya digunakan untuk transfer data handphone.Dengan menggunakan teknologi bluetooth pada handhone, dimungkinkan handphone dapat mengontrol suatu alat seperti lampu atau kunci. Dengan ini kita dapat menambah fasilitas pada handphone selain sebagai alat komunikasi juga dapat digunakan sebagai alat pengontrol.
Paket data yang ditransmisikan dengan bluetooth akan diterima oleh receiver bluetooth pada server (komputer). Paket data yang masuk diolah dan diambil pesan/perintahnya, kemudian diteruskan ke mikrokontroller yang berfungsi untuk mengontrol device sesuai pesan yang dikirim oleh handphone. Kelebihan teknologi yang dikembangkan adalah tidak menggunakan teknologi jaringan luar seperti jaringan AMPS, GSM, maupun CDMA, sehingga teknologi ini berjalan pada jaringan dalam sehingga tidak akan dikenai biaya operator.Kata Kunci : ABSTRACT: This day, wireless data transfer technology like IrDa and Bluetooth growth rapidly. Bluetooth technology have more advantage than IrDa in transfer speed. Generally, Bluetooth technology is used for handphone data transfer. With Bluetooth technology on the handphone, it also could be used to control a device such as a key or a lamp. With that control, we can add facility in our handphone. Beside handphone as a communication device, handphone can be use for remote control device.
Data packet transmitted by Bluetooth, will be received by Bluetooth receiver on the server Computer. The incoming data packet, will be processed to take the order and then sent it to the Microcontroller. The function of Microcontroller is to control device based on the message which is sent by handphone. This technology have an advantage in not using outer network like AMPS, GSM, or CDMA, so that this technology free of charge.Keyword:
