ABSTRAKSI: Peningkatan jumlah informasi digital yang terus bertambah saat ini menyebabkan kebutuhan akan pencarian kembali informasi menjadi sangat dibutuhkan. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan membangun Information Retrieval System.
Di dalam Information Retrieval System, seorang pengguna dapat mencari informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam bentuk kumpulan dokumen dengan cara memasukkan kata kunci atau query. Dan salah satu metode yang dapat memperbaiki hasil pencarian sistem tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan metode True Relevance Feedback. Dengan metode True Relevance Feedback , sistem akan memasukkan feedback dari user berupa judgement terhadap dokumendokumen yang relevan.
Akan tetapi metode True Relevance Feedback semakin efektif jika jumlah feedback-nya semakin banyak. Untuk memperbaiki hasil ini, diterapkan metode gabungan antara Pseudo dan True Relevance Feedback, dengan tujuan agar penambahan feedback dari sistem dan pengguna dapat meningkatkan hasil pencarian. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan yang telah dilakukan, nilai Precision dan Recall pada metode Pseudo dan True Relevance Feedback lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode True Relevance Feedback saja. Sedangkan nilai IAP pada metode True Relevance Feedback masih lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode Pseudo dan True Feedback.Kata Kunci : Information Retrieval System, query, True Relevance Feedback,Pseudo dan True Relevance Feedback, Precision, Recall, IAPABSTRACT: The increasing of digital information that grows rapidly nowadays has caused the needs to seek again the information related to what user wants become so important. Solution that can be done to overcome this problem is by using Information Retrieval System.
Inside the Information Retrieval System, a user can search the information that he or she needs by inputting keywords or query. And one of the methods that can improve the searching result of this system is by implementing True Relevance Feedback method. With True Relevance Feedback method, the system will add feedback from user in form of documents judgment that are relevant.
But the True Relevance Feedback method only effective if the number of feedback is increasing. To improve this, is through implementation of combination method between Pseudo and True Relevance Feedback. In purpose, by adding several feedbacks from the system and user can increase the searching result. According to result of the experiment, it is found out that Precision and Recall in Pseudo and True Relevance Feedback method is better than True Feedback method only. Meanwhile IAP in True Relevance Method is still better than Pseudo and True Relevance Feedback method.Keyword: Information Retrieval System, query, True Relevance Feedback,pseudo and True Relevance Feedback, Precision, Recall, IAP
