ABSTRAKSI: Teknologi VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) merupakan teknologi telekomunikasi masa depan, dimana biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk infrastruktur teknologi ini jauh lebih murah dibanding teknologi telekomunikasi yang umumnya digunakan masyarakat saat ini. Seiring perkembangan jaman, kebutuhan masyarakat akan telekomunikasi semakin tinggi, terutama telekomunikasi secara mobile. Sebagai contoh setiap orang dapat melakukan komunikasi dimanapun dan kapanpun dengan biaya yang murah, tetapi komunikasi tersebut tidak hanya dilakuakan perseorangan tetapi dapat juga dilakukan bersamaan pada satu waktu atau yang biasa disebut conference. Oleh karena itu pada tugas akhir ini penelitian dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, yaitu dengan menyediakan layanan voice conference dimana user dapat berkomunikasi secara conference, dan dengan biaya yang cukup murah namun tidak membatasi mobilitas dari usernya. Protokol yang digunakan untuk mendukung penelitian ini adalah UDP ( User Datagram Protocol), sebagai protokol pada layer transport. Lalu juga menggunakan transmisi multicast pada layer network, metode transmisi secara multicast ini memudahkan user dalam melakukan conference. Diharapkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dibuat sistem voice conference yang dapat bermanfaat dan memenuhi kebutuhan para pengguna teknologi telekomunikasi.Kata Kunci : Multicast, User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Voice over InternetABSTRACT: VoIP( Voice over Internet Protocol ) technology is the future of telecomunication technology, where costs much cheaper than other telecomunication technology which usually used by people nowadays. During the development periods,the needs of people for technology become higher, especially for mobile telecomunication. as an example, everyone need to communicate whereever and whenever they are with a low price and it not only a direct communication between two persons but also communication with more than two persons in one session, or we can say a conference. Because of that need, in this final project, the research done to fullfill that need, with provides voice conference service, where users can comunicate by conference with cheaper cost but not limits the mobility of the users. Protocol which used for supporting this project is UDP (User Datagram Protocol), as the protocol in transport layer. This research also used multicast transmission on network layer, transmission methode by multicast make user do the conference easier. Hopefully the result of this research can create voice conference system which can be useful and fullfill the needs of the telecomunication technology users.Keyword: Multicast, User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Voice over Internet
