ABSTRAKSI: Persaingan di dunia pertelekomunikasian, khususnya mobile phone selular sangat
ketat. Operator-operator berlomba-lomba untuk meningkatkan layanan bagi
pelanggannya, tentunya agar jumlah pelanggan semakin meningkat dan pelanggan
yang sudah ada tidak berpindah ke operator yang lain. Sehingga operator-operator
tersebut silih berganti meningkatkan kualitas pelayanannya.
Faktor utama untuk dapat memanfaatkan layanan selular prabayar yaitu
memerlukan adanya pulsa. Hal itu pula menjadi kendala dalam berkomunikasi
seluler jika pulsa habis. Keterbatasan pulsa dapat menjadi penyebab putusnya
komunikasi, padahal komunikasi benar-benar dibutuhkan, terutama di era modern
ini dengan banyaknya aktifitas dan mobilitas.
Mekanisme Sistem Share Pulsa Telepon Selular Berbasis Short Message
Service (SMS) diharapkan dapat menjadi sebuah alternatif untuk mengatasi
keterbatasan pulsa. Pelanggan yang memiliki nilai pulsa dapat berbagi atau share
nilai pulsanya kepada relasi, teman atau keluarga yang lain. Pesan yang
dikirimkan kepada server aplikasi merupakan request untuk dapat berbagi nilai
pulsa pelanggan yang mengirim request ke pelanggan yang lainnya. Sistem akan
berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya jika mampu berkomunikasi dengan Intelligent
Network (IN) sebagai jaringan yang menangani sistem billing. Dalam kondisi
tertentu IN mengambil data yang ada pada basisdata sistem share pulsa, sebagai
acuan dalam menangani charging pulsa setiap pemakaian layanan operator.Kata Kunci : sistem share pulsa, mobile phone, sms, billing, chargingABSTRACT: Competition in the world of telecommunications, specially mobile phone is very
tighten. Operators compete to increase service for their subscriber, in order to
increase number of subscriber and the subscriber that used their service operator
doesn’t move to another operator. So that the operators improving their service
quality.
Primary factor to use prepaid cellular sevice is need existence of funds. That
also become problems in communicating if fund is not enough. Limitation of
funds can be causes loss of communication, once upon a time communication is
really needed, especially in modern human live that full of activities and
mobilities.
Mechanism of Mobile Phone’s Credit Share System Based on Short Message
Service (SMS) become an alternatif to solve limitation of funds. Subscriber that
have balance in their prepaid account can share their fund to another subscriber.
Message sending to this system is a request to share balance of subscriber that
give a privilege to another subscriber. System will work functionality if it can
communicate with Intelligent Network (IN). At specific conditions, IN will get
data on database credit share system, as refers to charging subcriber balance if use
