ABSTRAKSI: Sistem Web Site sekarang ini sudah banyak yang mengembangkan dan menggunakan sistem yang dapat memahami minat (interest) seorang user terhadap suatu item dalam suatu web yang dibangun oleh suatu organisasi atau perusahaan, dapat dikatakan sebagai recommended system. Dengan kata lain, sistem tersebut membutuhkan aplikasi yang secara pintar menentukan minat (interest) seorang user dengan cara menggunakan informasi-informasi yang diperoleh untuk membuat suatu usulan atau saran.
Solusi untuk memecahkan permasalahan tersebut yang sudah umum digunakan adalah dengan metode explicit rating. Dengan metode tersebut user secara langsung memberitahukan kepada sistem menurut pendapatnya sendiri mengenai sebuah informasi pada halaman web. Metode lain yang digunakan adalah implicit rating, dimana penilaian (rating) dihasilkan oleh metode yang tanpa langsung dinilai oleh user.
Pada tugas akhir ini akan diimplementasikan metode implicit rating pada sebuah web site dan halaman-halaman tertentu pada web site tersebut, dengan membangun aplikasi web browser. Dimana web browser tersebut nantinya akan digunakan untuk membantu penilaian (rating) dari setiap informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh setiap user, dengan merekam interaksi user. Dengan kata lain dapat membantu memfilter informasi dalam suatu halaman web.Kata Kunci : User Interest, Web Browser, Implicit Rating, Explicit RatingABSTRACT: Nowadays, many people develop and use Web Site that can understand the user’s interest toward to an item in the web which is built by organization or company, it’s call a recommended system. In other words, this system needs a smart application that can determine user’s interest using the needed information to make a suggestion or advice.
The solution that is commonly used to solve the problems is explicit rating method. With this method, user can tell the system directly according to user’s opinion about the information on the web page. Another method that is used is implicit rating, where rating is produced by the method that user calculate indirectly.
In this final task, implicit rating method will be implemented on a web site and on certain pages on the web page, using web browser application. The web browser will be used to help rating from each information which is needed by every user, by recording user interaction.
