ABSTRAKSI: Komunikasi tanpa kabel/nirkabel (Wireless) saat ini menjadi kebutuhan dasar atau gaya hidup baru masyarakat informasi. Jaringan wireless lebih fleksibel karena pada prakteknya jaringan wireless tidak membutuhkan kabel untuk menghubungkan komputer satu dengan yang lainnya. Komputer dan data tersebut nantinya akan dihubungkan dengan jaringan radio. Salah satu teknologi yang berkembang di bidang Wireless LAN (WLAN) adalah Wireless LAN Mesh Network yang merupakan salah satu bagian dari Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). Jaringan wireless mesh memiliki kelebihan-kelebihan, seperti selforganized dan self-configured. Selain itu jaringan wireless mesh dikenal juga dengan sifat self-healing, yaitu bagaimana jaringan ini memungkinkan untuk dapat melakukan rerouting maupun usaha lain untuk menjaga jaringannya tetap reliable.

Dari pengukuran didapat nilai throughput pada skenario 1 Pada jarak 10 meter nilai throughput 3.8043 MBit/sec dan nilai delay 0.0031835 sec, pada jarak 20 meter nilai throughput 3.7977 MBit/sec dan nilai delay 0.0033709 sec, pada jarak 30 meter nilai throughput 3.6682 MBit/sec dan nilai delay 0.0034802 sec, sedangkan pada jarak 40 meter nilai throughput 3.1054 MBit/sec dan nilai delay 0.0035566 sec. Jumlah hop yang berada antara client dan server sangat mempengaruhi nilai throughput dan round trip time. Dari percobaan anatara 1 sampai 4 hop diperoleh nilai throughptut 2.0211, 2.2836, 2.5015, 3.0615 MBit/sec dan nilai delay 0.0053438, 0.0047508, 0.0043619, 0.0036789 sec. semakin banyak hop di dianatara client dan server makan throughput akan meningkat sedangkan nilai delaysemakin menurun. Pengaruh jumlah user yang mengakses server pada jaringan wireless yang menggunakan protocol routing aodv menyebabkan pengaruh terhadap nilai throughput dan Delay. Semakin banyak user yang mengakses maka nilai throughput akan semakin turun dan nilai delay akan naik.Kata Kunci : ruting, ad-hoc, AODV, VOD, Video, wireless, meshABSTRACT: Communication without cable / wireless is now a basic need or a new lifestyle information society. Effect of number of users that access the server on a wireless network using AODV routing protocol causes the effect on the value of throughput and delay.
