ABSTRAKSI: Perkembangan teknologi selular yang sangat pesat membutuhkan laju komunikasi data yang semakin cepat untuk memenuhi komunikasi data yang semakin besar. Standar Broadband Wireless Acces (BWA) yang saat ini umum diterima dan secara luas digunakan adalah standar yang dikeluarkan oleh Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), seperti standar 802.16 untuk jaringan World wide Interoperability for Microwave Acces (WiMAX). Standar WiMAX 802.16e mampu mendukung untuk aplikasi portable dan mobile.
Dengan adanya teknologi WiMAX, maka diperlukan berbagai perangkat yang dapat mendukung teknologi WiMAX tersebut. Salah satunya adalah perangkat antena, dimana diperlukan spesifikasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan teknologi WiMAX. Kriteria antena yang diperlukan untuk teknologi WiMAX seperti frekuensi kerja yang dialokasikan untuk teknologi tersebut, pola pancar dari antena tersebut dan gain yang diperlukan untuk teknologi WiMAX tersebut.
Antena triangle circular loop yang merupakan pengembangan dari antena loop yang berbentuk persegi dan lingkaran dan ditambah dengan reflektor dibagian luarnya. Antena triangle circular loop tersebut bekerja pada frekuensi 2,3GHz - 2,4GHz dengan VSWR ≤ 1,3 dan pola pancar unidireksional dengan jenis polarisasi linier vertikal.
Analisa perbandingan hasil pengukuran secara langsung antena yang telah dibuat dengan hasil simulasi dengan software Ansoft HFSS 10. Pengukuran yang dilakukan meliputi : pengukuran pola radiasi antena, pengukuran gain antena, pengukuran jenis polarisasi, pengukuran VSWR dan lebar pita frekuensi kerja antena.Kata Kunci : WiMAX, Antena Triangle Circular Loop, ReflektorABSTRACT: The development of cellular technology requires a very rapid rate for data communications to meet the rapid communication of the larger data. With WiMAX technology appearence, it is necessary tools that can support the WiMAX technology. One is an antenna device, where the required specification in accordance with the needs of the WiMAX technology. Criteria required for the antenna WiMAX technology such as the frequency of work allocated to technology, the radiation pattern of the antenna and the gain required for the WiMAX technology.
Triangle circular loop antenna, which is the development of a loop-shaped antenna and a square with a circle and outside the reflector. Triangle circular loop antenna is working at a frequency of 2,3GHz -2,4GHz with VSWR ≤ 1.3 and unidireksional radiation pattern with vertical polarization.
Comparative analysis between measurement results directly antenna and results with simulation software Ansoft HFSS 10.
