ABSTRAKSI: Pertumbuhan teknologi internet yang sangat pesat disertai dengan keinginan penguna untuk mendapatkan akses dalam kondisi mobile mengarah pada perkembangan teknologi wireless.Teknologi wireless itu sendiri memiliki kelemahan pada pelayanan penguna bergerak khususnya pada saat berganti jaringan sehingga muncul protokol Mobile IP.Mobile IP sangat baik digunakan pada penguna bergerak akan tetapi pergerakan penguna yang sangat tinggi menyebabkan proses handover pada jaringan tidak stabil sehingga sering terjadi high signaling load,high handoff latency,dan packet losses micromobilty protocol. Jaringan terganggu khususnya pada saat penguna dalam kondisi handover biasanya dikarenakan latency handover yang sangat tinggi (blackout time).
Karena terjadi blackout time seperti kondisi diatas maka muncul beberapa extension yang memperbaiki sistem Mobile IP salah satunya yaitu Hierarchical Mobile IPv4(HMIPv4) dan Fast handover Mobile IPv4(FMIPv4).Hierarchical Mobile IPv4 adalah suatu metode dengan membuat regional tunnel management pada saat handover untuk menghindari triangle routing.Fast handover Mobile IPv4 digunakan untuk mengurangi delay Fast handover Mobile IPv4 dan paketloss pada saat kondisi handover dengan cara mendeteksi alamat pada waktu bergerak,konfigurasi alamat IP maupun location update latencies pada saat handover.
Pada tugas akhir ini telah dapat disimulasikan bentuk jaringan Mobile IP dengan extension protokol Hierarchical Mobile IPv4 dan Fast handover Mobile IPv4.Setelah disimulasikan kedua extension protokol diatas diambil parameter latency handover dan Qos sehingga merepresentasikan kondisi kedua extension protokol jaringan tersebut.Setelah dilakukan analisis kinerja kedua extension protokol diatas diperoleh hasil bahwa protokol Fast handover Mobile IPv4 lebih stabil dari pada Hierarchical Mobile IPv4 pada waktu beban trafik tinggi dan kecepatan tinggi.Kata Kunci : Pada tugas akhir ini telah dapat disimulasikan bentuk jaringan Mobile IP dengan handover,Qos.ABSTRACT: The massive growing of internet technology and user demand to get the access in mobile environments has brought to the evolution of wireless technology. Those technologies have some disadvantages at their service in mobile environment, especially when entering a new subnet, thus it is introduced the Mobile IP protocol which is well suited with user mobility, but at high velocity the unstable handover process occur which give rise to high signalling load, high handoff latency, and packet losses micromobility protocol. The network is interrupted especially when user at handover condition due to the high latency process (blackout time).
To compensate the blackout time occurrence of Mobile IP, some extensions are introduced. The Hierarchical Mobile IPv4 (HMIPv4) and Fast Handover Mobile IPv4 (FMIPv4) are two kind of example. Fast Handover Mobile IPv4 (FMIPv4) is used to shorten the delay and packet loss when handover occur by detecting the addresses; IP address configuration and location update latencies.
In this final project, it is to be discussed and simulated the topology of Mobile IP network with Hierarchical Mobile IPv4 and Fast handover Mobile IPv4 extension protocol. The parameters which are taken into account are handover latency and Qos which represent both conditions of network protocols. The simulation results show that the Fast handover Mobile IPv4 is more stable than Hierarchical Mobile IPv4 in condition high traffic and high speed.Keyword: Mobile IP, Hierarchical Mobile IPv4 , Fast handover Mobile IPv4, latency handover,Qos.
