ABSTRAKSI: Dalam ruang lingkup pengaturan alokasi bandwidth, manajemen bandwidth memegang peranan penting untuk setiap layanan aplikasi internet seperti web dan file transfer. Pengaturan bandwidth yang baik diharapkan memberikan Quality of Service (QoS) yang tepat bagi setiap layanan.
Para peneliti telah menawarkan beberapa teknik QoS untuk memfasilitasi proses manajemen bandwidth pada suatu jaringan. Hierarchical Token Bucket dan Hierarchical Fair Service Curve merupakan teknik Quality of Service di router yang berbasis sistem operasi Linux yang difokuskan pada penjadwalan paket yang tepat dan mudah diimplementasikan.
Dalam hal ini Hierarchical Token Bucket dan Hierarchical Fair Service Curve memiliki kemampuan dalam pembagian trafik dan peminjaman bandwidth dalam link-sharing. Sehingga dengan metode Hierarchical Token Bucket dan Hierarchical Fair Service Curve diharapkan bisa diperoleh QoS dan penggunaan link jaringan secara optimal.
Tujuan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasikan disiplin antrian Hierarchical Token Bucket dan Hierarchical Fair Service Curve dalam Linux kernel dan memperoleh hasil perbandingan masing-masing metode tersebut.

A good bandwidth management is expected to provide Quality of Service appropriately at each service or different agency.
Researchers offered different QoS technique to facilitate the process of bandwidth management in the network. Hierarchical Token Bucket and Hierarchical Fair Service Curve are QoS technique in Linux based router that is focused on packet scheduling precision and ease of use.
In this case, Hierarchical Token Bucket and Hierarchical Fair Service Curve provide the traffic management and borrowing technique in bandwidth in link-sharing. Furthermore, Hierarchical Token Bucket and Hierarchical Fair Service Curve methods are expected to provide good QoS and optimal state of link utilization.
The main aim of this final project was to implement Hierarchical Token Bucket and Hierarchical Fair Service Curve scheduling algorithm into Linux kernel and provide some comparison of it's operation.
