ABSTRAKSI: Global System for Mobile Communication Subscriber Identity Module Card atau GSM SIM Card merupakan salah satu dalam teknologi smart card. Smart card adalah sistem terintegrasi yang memiliki Central Processing Unit (CPU), memori, dan bagian Input/Output. Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah menganalisa hardware smart card untuk aplikasi GSM SIM Card. Lingkup tugas akhir yang dikerjakan dibatasi hanya pada masalah analisa dan implementasi aplikasi pembaca dan penulis GSM SIM Card dan komunikasi antara GSM SIM Card, Write/Read Unit (WRU) pada handphone Nokia 3350, dan komputer.
Tugas akhir dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan studi literature mengenai smart card dan hal yang berkaitan dengan smart card, yaitu International Standard Organizations 7816 atau standar ISO 7816, dan cara komunikasi SIM Card, serta study literature mengenai GSM SIM Card dengan standar GSM 11.11. Tahap kedua dilakukan analisa dan implementasi aplikasi pembaca dan penulis GSM SIM Card. serta WRU pada handphone Nokia 3350. Tahap ketiga dilakukan analisa yang meliputi proses persiapan SIM Card dan pengujian hardware SIM Card, pengujian komunikasi SIM Card dengan handphone, komunikasi handphone dengan komputer, dan konfigurasi WRU dengan software yang digunakan
Pengujian dilakukan untuk melihat fungsionalitas SIM Card sebagai GSM SIM Card. Tiga pengujian yang dilakukan adalah pengujian hardware, pengujian komunikasi, dan pengujian akses file dengan menggunakan fungsi-fungsi GSM.Kata Kunci : SIM Card, GSM, dan WRUABSTRACT: Global System for Mobile Communication Subscriber Identity Module Card or GSM SIM Card is one of smart card technology. The scope of this project is bounded only to the analysis and implementation writer and reader of GSM SIM Card application and communication in GSM SIM Card, Write/Read Unit (WRU) on Nokia 3350 handphone, and computer.
This project is did with literature study about smart card first and something about smart card is International Standard Organizations 7816 or ISO 7816 standard, and smart card communication methode, and literature study about GSM SIM Card with GSM 11.11 standard. The second step is did analysis and implementation writer and reader of GSM SIM Card application and communication in GSM SIM Card, and WRU on Nokia 3350 handphone. The third step is did analysis that contain SIM Card prepare process and smart card hardware testing, communication between SIM Card with handphone, handphone with computer communication, and WRU configuration with software that used.
The Test is accomplished to see the smart card functionality as GSM SIM Card. The third test that did is hardware test, communication test, and access file test using GSM functions.Keyword: SIM Card, GSM, and WRU
