ABSTRAKSI: Tugas Akhir berjudul “Perancangan Aplikasi Indie-Labelizer menggunakan WAP Berbasis GPRS” dibuat untuk memberikan informasi kepada suatu komunitas mengenai penyelenggaraan suatu acara. Layanan ini membantu pihak penyelenggara dalam mempublikasikan acara dan juga membantu pihak komunitas dalam mengetahui informasi dari acara tersebut. Sehingga dalam tugas akhir ini dibahas bagaimana mendesain layanan aplikasi informasi berbasis WAP, yaitu suatu jenis layanan yang dapat diakses melalui media mobile phone atau PDA.
Pengertian dari Indie-Labelizer (I-Lab) adalah layanan informasi yang ditawarkan kepada user berupa layanan informasi atas suatu acara On WAP berbasis Mobile Electronic Transaction.
Informasi yang berkaitan dengan kebutuhan para komunitas ini dapat direquest dengan jalan mengakses WAP yang terkoneksi ke sebuah situs WebService pendukung WAP. Permintaan dari user tersebut dikirimkan melewati perantara berupa WAP gateway. WAP gateway tersebut menerjemahkan permintaan user dan meneruskannya ke situs WebService. Bila situs tersebut meresponnya, maka akan dikirimkan respon balik ke WAP gateway, kemudian diteruskan ke piranti WAP dan akhirnya microbrowser menampilkan halaman tersebut. Dan untuk layanan selanjutnya, pihak user akan menerima pesan SMS yang berisi informasi jadwal konser. Selain mendapatkan informasi jadwal konser, user juga bisa melihat informasi terbaru mengenai band-band dan lagu terbaru. Dan user juga dapat mendownload lagu terbaru dengan format yang telah ditentukan.Kata Kunci : GPRS/WAP, Webservice, I-LabABSTRACT: This final project that have a title “Indie-Labelizer” Application Design Using WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) Based on GPRS (General Packet Radio System) was build to give information to some communities about the music concert. This application helps the event-organizer to publish their program of music concert and also help the community to get the information of that program. So, this final project discusses how to design service information application based on WAP which is can be access trough mobile phone or PDA.
Indie-Labelizer (I-Lab) is an application which gives user information of a music concert on WAP based on Mobile Electronic Transaction.
Information which is needed for the community can be request from WAP access that connected in a WAPsite support WAP. Request from user can be sent trough WAP gateway, those WAP gateway translating user request and forward it to WAP site. If site response, it will sent response back to WAP gateway, and then forwarded to WAP tools and the last microbrowser can display this page. And for the next step, user will get a notification message (SMS) about information of a music concert. Beside that, user can also get a lot of information about new bands and new songs.
