This handout is accompanying material that supports the teaching and learning process for CALCULUS I course in the undergraduate program of Telecommunication Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering - Telkom University. This course provides students with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to solve problems related to real number systems, functions, limits and continuity of functions, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integrals and their applications, transcendental functions, and improper integrals.
Calculus I is designed to introduce students to the essential concepts of calculus, which are fundamental in understanding the behavior of numerical and functional relationships in theoretical and applied contexts. Through this course, students will learn to apply calculus principles to solve real-world problems, enhancing their analytical and problem-solving skills. The lecture topics are structured to build a comprehensive understanding of calculus, starting from the basics of the real number system and functions, progressing through the critical concepts of limits, continuity, and derivatives, and culminating in the study of integrals and their applications, including transcendental functions and improper integrals.
