The Second International Conference on Smart Computing and Informatics (SCI
2018) was successfully organized by Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of
Technology, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The objective of this international
conference was to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, scientists,
professionals, and students to share their knowledge and expertise in the field of
smart computing comprising of soft computing, evolutionary algorithms, swarm
intelligence, Internet of things, machine learning, etc. and address various issues to
increase an awareness of technological innovations and to identify challenges and
opportunities to promote the development of multidisciplinary problem-solving
techniques and applications. Research submissions in various advanced technology
areas were received, and after a rigorous peer review process with the help of
technical program committee members, elite quality papers were accepted. The
conference featured special sessions on various cutting-edge technologies which
were chaired by eminent professors. Many distinguished researchers like Dr.
Lakhmi C. Jain, Australia; Dr. Nabil Khelifi, Springer, Germany; Dr. Roman
Senkerik, Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic; Dr. B. K. Panigrahi, IIT
Delhi; and Dr. S. Das, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, attended the conference
and delivered the talks.
