PT. Bangtelindo is a project-based telecommunications construction company that provides telecommunications network installation services. In one of the projects carried out, On-Site Plant Fiber Optic Regional Metro Junction is the project by the company that experienced delays and over budget caused the project performance was not good. This problem is found in the monitoring and controlling phase and a method is needed to analyze the performance of the project. The suitable method for this problem is using the Earned Value Management (EVM) method. EVM is used to calculate performance on time and cost aspects. Additionaly, the use of the S curve can also help provide information regarding the difference between project planning, project progress and also the actual cost of the project. At the end of the project contract period, there is a result that the SPI is 0.954 where the project has not been completed and CPI is 0.998 which indicates that the project is overbudget. This problem occurs due to a delay in the procurement of some materials and the existence of reworks in cabling activities. The results of project forecasting show that the project can be estimated to be Rp.2.379.758.434 by increasing the processing time 6 days. Using EVM method, it is expected that the monitoring and controlling process can help the project manager to monitor the activity of the project.
