In curriculum 2013, arts and cultural subjects are placed in group B, which means that basic competence could be developed through “local culture”. This policy, gives enough space for traditional art, especially art performance to be a subject in the curriculum. Therefore, the proper materials, the suitable design, and the creativity of teaching through appreciation and expression become the main factors of the success of learning.
The aim of having traditional art performance as a subject in a school is to present the values of the nations through the art performing. It will bring an enlightenment to the life of traditional art performance which its existence begin to wear off in this global era.
