Abstraksi

ASKAB PSSI West Bandung Regency is an organization that is required to have achievements. The success of ASKAB PSSI West Bandung Regency is very dependent on the performance of the athletes. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the performance of ASKAB PSSI athletes in West Bandung Regency. This study focuses on problems that occur in athlete performance. To find out this, this research was carried out which aims to examine and analyze the effect of empowering leadership and goal orientation on athlete performance.

The research method used was descriptive research by distributing questionnaires in the form of Google forms which were processed using the SPSS version 25 program. The population in this study were male and female athletes aged 19 years and male and female athletes aged 19 and over. The number of samples in the questionnaire data collected was 87, but because there were 3 data outliers, the questionnaire data that was feasible to process was 84.

The results show that empowering leadership is included in the very good category at 91.96%, goal orientation is included in the very good category at 92.8%, athlete performance is included in the very good category at 91.5%. The results of the hypothesis analysis show that: (1) empowering leadership has a strong effect on the performance of ASKAB PSSI athletes in West Bandung Regency (2) goal orientation has a strong effect on the performance of ASKAB PSSI athletes in West Bandung Regency
