ABSTRAKSI: SMA Negeri 1 Weleri merupakan sekolah di kota Kendal yang memiliki fungsi sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan di tingkat SMA. Informasi yang diberikan sebuah sekolah kepada siswa, guru maupun masyarakat umum sangat penting guna memperlancar kegiatan belajar mengajar, serta sebagai media publikasi antara pihak sekolah dengan masyarakat. Saat ini pengolahan data guru, pegawai, siswa, jadwal pelajaran, dan nilai masih dilakukan secara manual dengan menggunakan pengolah dokumen (Ms word, Ms Excel) dan belum terkomputerisasi dengan baik.
Oleh karena itu proyek akhir yang berjudul “Perancangan dan Implementasi Sistem Informasi SMA Negeri 1 Weleri Berbasis Web dan SMS gateway” ini merupakan suatu media yang mengurusi pengelolaan dan penyimpanan data akademik yang ada pada SMA Negeri 1 Weleri. Diantaranya yakni pengelolaan data siswa, data staff, pengaturan jadwal pelajaran, nilai siswa, agenda staff, dan absensi siswa serta komponen-komponen lain yang mendukung aplikasi ini.
Dari hasil proyek akhir ini, User dapat mengakses kegiatan akademik melalui media website dan SMS secara efisien dan efektif, karena didapatkan hasil performansi yang baik. Waktu rata-rata yang dibutuhkan user me-request informasi via SMS sampai user mendapat response SMS adalah 25,67 detik. Response time akses informasi via website masih bisa diakses sampai 4000 user.Kata Kunci : Sistem informasi, web, SMS GatewayABSTRACT: SMA Negeri 1 Weleri is a school in a town called Kendal which has a function as an education institution on high school level. Information which is given by a school to the student, teacher, or public is very important to support teaching, also as the media publicity between the school and the public. Currently, the data processing of teacher, staff, student, lesson schedule, and score worked manually with the document processing software (Ms Word and Ms Excel) and has not computerized well.
Therefore, this final project entitled “Design and Implementation Information Systems of SMA Negeri 1 Weleri based on Web and SMS Gateway” is a media which managing and saving the academic data on SMA Negeri 1 Weleri. Those are managing student data, staff data, arranging lesson schedule, student score, staff agenda, and student attendance also other components that support this application.
From the result of this final project, users can access academic activities through the website and SMS media efficiently and effectively, because it showed good performance results. The average time it takes users to request information via SMS to the user gets an SMS response is 25.67 seconds.
