ABSTRAKSI: Dengan semakin berkembangnya teknologi informasi telah banyak dikembangkannya berbagai metode pencarian content based, yaitu sistem Content Based image retrieval (CBIR) yang merupakan mekanisme pencarian query image, ini disebabkan pencarian image berdasarkan text sudah tidak efektif lagi.
Pada tugas akhir ini diimplementasikan sistem CBIR, untuk mendapatkan fitur imagenya digunakan metode pengekstrakan fitur yaitu color histogram untuk mngekstrak fitur warna , fourier descriptors untuk mengekstrak fitur bentuk dan gabor filtering untuk mengekstrak fitur tekstur. Langkah pertama user mengiputkan query image, kemudian sistem mengekstraksi fitur warna, bentuk dan teksturnya dengan menggunakan color histogram, fourier descriptor dan gabor filtering. Hitung tingkat similarity dengan metode similarity, yaitu cosine distance antara image query dengan image database. Dalam sistem ini digunakan empat kelas image yaitu Apple, Cup, Face dan Rose yang memiliki ukuran 256 x 256 pixel, nilai similarity bisa dipilih dari 100% sampai 0% sesuai dengan keinginan user. Untuk membatasi image yang ditampilkan disediakan nilai threshold yaitu 10, 20 dan 30.
Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah sebuah sistem CBIR yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pencarian image dan dapat menganalisis seberapa akuratkah sitem CBIR jika menggunakan color histogram fourier descriptors, dan gabor filtering sebagai pengekstrakan fitur imagenya.

This final project performs Content-based Image Retrieval (CBIR) system,to get image feature used extractor feature that is color histogram for extract color feature, fourier descriptor for exract shape feature and gabor filteringfor extract texture feature. The first step is user input the image query, then the image will be extracted using color histogram, fourier descriptors and gabor filtering so that got the color feature, shape feature and the texture feature. calculate level of similarity with method similarity, that is cosine distance between image query with image database. This system using four image classes that is Apple, Cup, Face And Rose, which size 256 x 256 pixels, the similarity value can be choosen from 100% to 0% according to user’s wish. To bound the image presented, the system will provide the threshold value that is 10, 20 and 30.
The result from this final task is an application that can be used in course of image seeking and analyze how accurate is the CBIR application if using color histogram, fourier descriptors and gabor filtering as the image feature extracting.
