Diversity is a given characteristics of hybrid art and traditional art. Art around the world is identified as cultural product born from an entity dissolve in the ever changing social structure and system of value. Hybridity of traditional art began to be produced based on creative need to explore local genius values. Hybridity of traditional art is represented and published extensively at all time in virtual space. Almost every television station in Indonesia has a high rated live shows broadcasted on a daily basis. Looking into current development of entertainment industry, there are variety of ways of exploring and exploiting images of traditional art as creative strategy in transforming image and values. Series of high rated television programs starting from Welcome Dance, Extravaganze, Opera Van Java, YKS (Yuk Keep Smile), the Caesar dance and the “oplosan” dance exploit images of traditional art. These programs, however, are dedicated solely to serve the interest of capital. At the same time, it is increasingly these programs are supported by instant images of celebrity, advancing the value of the show in the eyes of advertiser. These programs are also delving into social media instilling cultural transformation and creating trend and new lifestyles while promoting change of perspective and consumerism. Traditional arts then are featured as hybrid due to reduction in the core value of the art. Cyberculture media in this case is proven to be significant in its role of social transformation.
Television and online media as part of the lifestyle of cyber generation is a starting point of the change in discourse, taste, lifestyle, and character of the society due to their hegemonic impact. Television can affect the construction of culture in the society at all aspects including cognitive, affective and conative of the audience. Media are able to construct the culture of the people causing to belief in the symbols of reality manipulated by the media instead of the actual reality. The impact is the change in form and value of art, the transformation of entertainment industry omitting the value of education in performances and the banality of art. The banality of art is facilitated by entertainment industry coopted by the power of cyber culture media that

have spread beyond control. Slowly but surely, the banality of entertainment industry eradicates hybridity of traditional art in modern Indonesia.
