At the opening of the exhibition of the Dutch Artist Daan Roosegaarde in the „Rijksmuseum Amsterdam? in 2014 the director of the museum Wim Pijbes said: “ Good artists are able to create something new”.
In 1989 I graduated at the university of fine art, AKI in Enschede, the Netherlands.
After about 10 years I started working in education and in 2000 I started working at Saxion for the new bachelor program, Art & Technology. In my work as an artist I found that technical machines or technology in general are a great inspiration to make new art.
When I started working in education I became more interested in the process of making art instead of the product of art. What makes that an Artist is able to create new things, new ideas, new art? How does this contribute to innovation in the society?
