This new fifth edition represents a substantial revision of its predecessor. Thirty four of the seventy six readings appear for the first time. The continuing evolution of Economic Issues is also reflected in the fact that only five readings have survived since this volume was originally published in 1963.
The reading have been selected and arranged in terms of the organizational structure of MsConnell’s Economics, sixth edition. However, the selections can be readily used to supplement any standard textbook on the priciples of economics. A list reading by author is provided on pages xi to xiv for quick reference. An outline relating the readings to the sixth edition of Economics is found on page xvii
