This book is intended to provide a readable, understandable source of information about the estate planning process. While I am a lawyer, the book is not aimed primarily at lawyers or law students and I have deliberately tried to avoid the use of “lawyers’ English”, which is a contradiction in terms anyway.
The need to understand something about the use of our property during our lifetimes and to begin planning for its disposition on our deaths seems plain. The need is especially acute among life insurance underwritters, stock brokers, bank trust officers, financial planners, accountants, lawyers, and other who are in the business of helping “build” and “plan” estates
