Indonesia is one of the countries that have the most tourism in the world. Due to its many tourist attractions in Indonesia, the level of tourist visits increasing. Ministry of Tourism data shows in 2016 the number of tourists has increased from the previous year. Rising number of tourists should be accomodate with adequate shelter. When hotels and villas quotas are full and cannot be booked anymore, tourists will find it difficult to find temporary residence. This opportunity is used by residents around the tourist area, to rented his unused rooms. But the dissemination of information is still done manually such as brochures, door to door, or social media. The Rumantara app is here to help bridge the room owners with the tourists who want to find a place to live. This application is built using iterative incremental method and through android based system. The app is created using Java programming language and tested using black-box testing method. The result of this study is expected this application can be a bridge between the tourist with the room owner and also to help its booking processes.
