Abstraksi

ABSTRAKSI: Attenuator berfungsi untuk mengurangi daya sinyal yang melaluinya tanpa mengubah bentuk sinyal informasi. Attenuator ada yang dibuat dengan besar redaman yang tetap maupun variabel. Agar koefisien pantulan minimum attenuator harus dibuat sepadan terhadap saluran koaksial. Peredam variabel gelombang mikro banyak diperlukan untuk perangkat maupun kelengkapan pengujian gelombang mikro. Peredam dapat dibuat sendiri berbasis koaksial dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan lokal yang bersifat desipatif dan dapat diatur panjangnya. Dalam kesempatan ini, variabel attenuator dibuat dengan spesifikasi : frekuensi kerja 300-1000MHz, impedansi terminal 50Ω (unbalan), VSWR ≤ 1,3, konektor-N female, insertion loss 2,0dB-10dB. Pengukuran attenuator dilakukan dengan network analyzer, sweep oscillator, dan spectrum analyzer. Parameter yang telah diuji antara lain VSWR 1,044 pada frekuensi 650 MHz, impedansi 51,46-j1,636 pada frekuensi 650 MHz, insertion loss 7,34dB – 11,84dB pada frekuensi 300MHz.Kata Kunci : attenuator, desipatif, koaksial, variabel.ABSTRACT: Attenuator is a device that has function to reduce power level without changing the form of info signal. There are two kinds of attenuator, attenuator with constant attenuation and with variable attenuation. In order to minimize the reflection coefficient of attenuator then the device have to matched with coaxial. Variable attenuator needful for protection and completeness microwave measurement. Variable attenuator can produces based on coaxial using local material that have dissipative characteristic and variable length of attenuator. In this final project, variable attenuator with specification : frequency 300- 1000MHz, impedance 50Ω (unbalance), VSWR ≤ 1.3, connector N-female, insertion loss 2.0 dB – 10 dB was made. The measurement devices are network analyzer, sweep oscillator, and spectrum analyzer. The parameter that already measured was VSWR 1.044 at 650 MHz, impedance 51.46-j1.636 at 650 MHz, insertion loss 7.34 – 11.84 at 300 MHz.Keyword: attenuator, coaxial, variable, dissipative.
