Abstraksi

ABSTRAKSI: Kompresi citra digital merupakan metode untuk memperkecil ukuran file yang dilakukan terhadap citra digital dalam proses penyimpanannya pada suatu storage sehingga dapat disimpan atau ditransmisikan secara efisien. Pada tugas akhir ini, algoritma yang digunakan adalah JPEG dengan penambahan komplemen terkompresi Deflate. JPEG dipilih karena merupakan tipe citra digital yang paling sering digunakan pada perangkat penangkap gambar saat ini meskipun mengalami penurunan kualitas gambar (lossy) namun penurunan tersebut dapat ditolerir oleh mata manusia. Pembentukan komplemen dilakukan dengan membandingkan citra digital asli (sebelum kompresi) dengan citra digital terkompresi (JPEG). Hasil komplemen tersebut kemudian disimpan dalam sebuah file yang kemudian dilakukan proses kompresi dengan algoritma Deflate. Kemudian diperoleh citra lossless yang merupakan penggabungan dari citra lossy (JPEG) dengan file komplemen.Kata Kunci : Kompresi Citra Digital, Citra Lossless, Citra Lossy, JPEG, Komplemen, DeflateABSTRACT: Digital image compression is a method to minimize the file size of a digital image in the process of storage on a storage so that it can be stored or transmitted efficiently. In this final task, the algorithm used is JPEG by the addition of the complement of Deflate compressed. JPEG is selected because it is a digital image type that most frequently used on the device's current image even though the catcher suffered a decline in the quality of the images (lossy) but these can be tolerated by the decline of the human eye. The creation of complement is done by comparing the original digital image (before compression) with digital image compressed (JPEG). The results of the complement then stored in a file and is compressed by deflate algorithm .
