ABSTRAKSI: Salah satu bidang yang sangat membutuhkan aplikasi sistem informasi dalam peningkatan pelaksanaan prosedur kerja adalah bidang kedokteran. Dukungan dan integrasi teknologi informasi di bidang kedokteran telah melahirkan berbagai konsep yang inovatif dalam teknik-teknik pemeriksaan dan penanganan pasien, Salah satunya adalah konsep telemedika. Telemedika adalah tindakan medis oleh seorang dokter kepada pasien secara jarak jauh. Data medis pasien ditransmisikan melalui medium udara, sehingga dapat dimonitor langsung oleh dokter tanpa harus berada disamping pasien tersebut.<br> MMS adalah salah satu aplikasi layananan dari sistem GSM yang menyediakan layanan pengiriman pesan dalam berbagai format, seperti teks, foto, gambar, grafik, animasi, presentasi slide, klip suara hingga klip video. Dengan memanfaatkan berbagai teknologi baru yang menggabungkan browser, server, markup language yang baru yang didesain untuk piranti bergerak. Banyak aplikasi layanan yang dapat di implementasikan dengan mengkombinasikan elemen-elemen layanan ini<br> Pada tugas akhir ini di rancang suatu aplikasi layanan medis berupa informasi kesehatan berbasis MMS. Sistem ini terdiri dari tiga bagian. Bagian pertama adalah aplikasi midlet client yaitu berupa handphone yang sudah terinstal program berbasis j2me (java 2 micro edition), aplikasi ini digunakan sebagai media oleh client untuk mengirim request. Kedua adalah Gateway yaitu sebuah software yang akan menangani hubungan layanan data pada jaringan GSM, Gateway ini akan terhubung dengan sebuah handphone gateway. Dan terakhir adalah bagian server yang didalamnya terdapat sebuah software yang bisa menangani proses eksekusi sebuah input menjadi output, pada server ini juga terdapat sistem basis data yang menyimpan database informasi kesehatan yang nantinya akan diakses oleh client. Sehingga dari hasil perancangan ini didapat kesimpulan bahwa dengan penggunan memori sebesar 17 Kbyte pada handphone, response sistem yang rata-rata kurang dari 1 detik mampu merespons permintaan client dan proses pengiriman yang normal dari aplikasi SMS dan MMS mampu memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat akan kemudahan sarana untuk memperoleh informasi kesehatan.Kata Kunci : ABSTRACT: One of sector that very need the information system application on increasingly the quality of work procedure is medical sector. Supporting and integration information technology in medical sector have born several kind of concept that innovative in technical diagnosis and handling the patient, such as Telemedicine. Telemedicine is medical action whom the doctor gives to patient in long-distance system. Patient’s medical data are transmitted through air, so patient’s condition could be monitor directly by the doctor and the doctor must not be near by the patient.<br> The application is progressing rapidly in recent years. MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), as one of the application, provides message sending services in many formats like text, photo, feature, graphic, animation, slide presentation, voice and video clip. With use many new technologies which combines browser, server, and new markup language are designed for mobile devices. Many service applications are implemented with combining these elements. MMS can be used in one way or interactive service that possibly wireless devices access and send the information from server safety, fast, and efficiently.<br> In this final project, will be designed the medical aplication service like information disease based on mms. This system is consist of three parts. The first part is Client midlet application such a mobile phone that had be installed J2ME software, these application are used by the client as medium to send request. The second part is Gateway. It is a software that will handle data service in GSM network. The gateway will be linked with a gateway mobile phone. And the last part is Server within a software can handling execution process that input become an output. At the server, there is also database system saving the medical information that will be accessed by the client. Until this project with only using 17 Kbyte of handphone memory, time response sistem that less than 1 second able to handle the request of client, and process aplication SMS, MMS with normaly sending transmision will able to completly people need of to get healthy information.Keyword:
