Abstraksi

Company always remain competition betwen their competitor so that, companies get market share and gain maximum profit. Leader is needed in every companies to resolve increasingly tight competition and the higher consumen demand. Leader is a person who has skill in one concentration, so that leader is capable in influencing and doing what the leader want together to achieve goals. Leader have different strategies in leading the company because every leader have different characteristic. The purpose of this research is to know the most dominant factor in leader characteristic in the Commercial section PT PLN (Persero) West Java and Banten Distribution. This research uses traits a leader, faith and optimistic, skill and expertise, behavior, integrity and ethics, the influence tactics and the nature of followers as variables. Based on the research results , there are 4 factors leader characteristic in the Commerce section PT PLN ( Persero ) West Java and Banten Distribution such as sacrifice factor, motivation factor, tolerance factor and trust factor . Factor sacrifice has the most variance percentage (contribution ) which is 50.288 % . Factor sacrifice includes eight variables such as performing duty, inspiring communication ,awareness ,honesty , sincerity ( sacrifice ) , responsibility and willingness. Leaders should pay more attention to the leadership in his/her company by developing and maintaing the leader characteristic factor which have the most contribution in the company so that companies goals can achieve.
