This study thoroughly examines the design and implementation of a digital control system for a modular boost converter kit with the primary goal of improving efficiency and output voltage stability under various load conditions. The digital control system developed in this research utilizes two widely used microcontrollers, namely the ESP32 and Arduino UNO, integrated with a lead compensator for regulating the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) duty cycle. The lead compensator is employed to enhance the control system's responsiveness when dynamically adjusting to load changes, thereby ensuring stable and reliable output voltage from the boost converter.<br /> The testing method employs a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) approach, enabling real-time integration between MATLAB simulations and physical hardware components. This HIL technique provides high flexibility for practical and effective testing and validation of the digital control system before deployment in real-world conditions. The analysis results demonstrate that the employed control method successfully enhances the converter's performance in terms of responsiveness to load variations and energy efficiency, maintaining optimal output voltage stability.<br /> This research contributes significantly to developing effective educational tools in the field of power electronics and multilevel converters. It also opens opportunities for further advancements in more sophisticated digital control methods. Future research is recommended to include testing in real-world environments to comprehensively evaluate system reliability and to develop more adaptive control algorithms capable of handling complex operating conditions.<br />
