Patriot, one who loves his or her country and supports its authority and interests. Patriotic themes in modern art painting revealed patriotism. There were any patriotic themes in modern art painting of Indonesia. Painter Raden Saleh expressed patriotic event in his painting with title Prince Diponegoro was Arrested. Others, painters created patriotic themes, among of them were Dullah, Sudjojono, Basoeki Abdullah, from recent generation Dede Eri Supria. Painting depicted patriotic themes was very important to raise sense of belonging to nation, country, and homeland. But only a few paintiers created themes like that. Only a few painters interested to paint patriotic themes.
