Abstraksi

This paper is a qualitative study to find out whether the existence of translation software becomes a threat or a friend to translators. This is quite interesting because based on the initial interview, 5 of 8 Students of non English language learners who were accustomed to use the translators’ services, as an advance in technology, prefer to use translation software today. However, based on the educational background and knowledge of the author, the primary hypothesis of this research is the translation software is more likely to act as a friend to the translators. The result of this study is expected to provide knowledge to people in Indonesia about the function of the existence of the technology.
